This space will be reserved for an ongoing, chronological list of events from the Freiburg game. These events include major PC actions, key battles in the mini-game, and Event Card draws. Not every mass combat round will be described here, but the ones that may effect future games will be. The events in this thread will also be public knowledge, so any back room deals the PCs or other cut will remain in the game itself.

Influx of Sieger Mercanaries
Looming civil war causes a spike in mercenary activity in and around Freiburg. Mercenaries hail from all over Theah, but Eisen's own Sieger lands begin to contribute significant numbers. Some factions indulge in these ruthless mercenary bands at the cost of the city's safety, but the Vaticine Church and the Free People of Freiburg both notably decline their services.

Bernoulli's Triumph
The Vendel League attacks the docks north of the river under the cover of darkness. Guild enforcers and Sieger mercenaries comprise their force, but the Bernoulli have hired just as many Sieger mercenaries. The Vodacce syndicate thugs are better trained at night and come out of the woodwork to harry, confuse, and assassinate Guild tacticians throughout the night. Vendel League forces never reach the docks proper, let alone drive the syndicate from the district. The Vendel League is left depleted and the Vodacce now have pretense to attack them in the east of the city.

Loring's Stand at Weiss Bridge
Gangs of anarchists in the south of the city gather in Dogtown and converge on the Watchhunde stronghold near Weiss Bridge. Kelby Loring's Watchhundes, with the help of the Castillian Acalde Marco, establish a hard point at the bridge and steadfastly defend the area. Despite being outnumbered seven to one, the Watchhundes fend off the anarchists with superior tactics and leadership, perhaps setting a new precedent for the near future of Freiburg south of the river.

Flooding Along the Riverbank
A spring flood strikes the waterfront particularly hard, and many residents in the docks districts and other low-lying areas are forced to temporarily relocate. Productivity in the city diminishes as some merchants shut down operations or leave the city altogether. The Vendel League's guild leaders are left to take on a greater role in the city's recovery, although their de facto leader, Sela Cole, vanishes in the midst of the crisis.

The Lawful Seizure of Cardinal Erika Durkheim
As General Leberecht consolidates power in the north and west of the city, including the famed Drachen Cathedral, he takes the opportunity to make arrests under the auspices of culling violence in Freiburg. He arrests murderers in the dozens and executes them promptly in public squares. Three days after executing four Inquisitors alongside several other murderers, Leberecht arrests Vaticine Cardinal Erika Durkheim, who finds her home in the Drachen Cathedral. She is charged with aiding and abetting known murderers. He sets a trial at a date in the near future and holds her in custody to await such a trial.

The Expulsion of the Knights of the Rose and Cross
Ostensibly because of their involvement with "criminal activity," General Leberecht formally and publicly condemns the Knights of the Rose and Cross, whose chapterhouse is now firmly within the general's territory. The Knights promptly relocate to a manor on the University of Freiburg campus.

Alvaro Arciniega Publishes Principia Medica
Castillian expatriate and Dean of the University of Freiburg, Alvaro Arciniega, capitalizes on the rapidly diminishing Vaticine and Inquisition presence in the city to publish one of his works. Principia Medica is a book of medicine based on years of dissection and experimentation on animal cadavers and purports to advance already cutting-edge theories and techniques about medicine and biology. One of the more practical applications of Principia Medica is an advancement of Ravenhild Hibbot's blood transfusion, by which Arciniega has been able to apply liquid medicine rapidly, potently, and safely to test subjects, even automatically by means of a siphoned drip.

The Escape of Cardinal Durkheim
Cardinal Durkheim, being held by General Leberecht to await her trial, is sprung from her imprisonment by a group of legal councilors clad in Rose and Cross tabbards. The Knights remove the Cardinal from the premises by force, although none of the guards are killed in the attack. The Cardinal remains at large in the aftermath.

Double Murder at Bernoulli Manor
Both Bernoulli sons in Freiburg are killed by several unidentified attackers during the night. A violent scene ensues during which several more people are injured and the manor's seneschal also goes missing. The Bernoulli syndicate's business interests remain in effect in some of the city districts, although the faction fighting in the streets muddles communications within the Syndicate. With no leadership, syndicate lieutenants remain passive and on-guard.

Freiburg Rising
A faction calling itself The Free People of Freiburg rises up to take control of the city after ambushes across the city by General Leberecht. Wachhunde leader Kelby Loring hold his ground in the south of the city and launches a daring and resourceful counterattack against the Bernoulli Syndicate in the South Docks. Meanwhile, General Leberecht's ambushes are beat back and several assassination attempts backfire embarrassingly for the general. Deputy Chair of the Vendel League, Sela Cole, comes out of apparent hiding and places her full and public support being the Free People, as does Cardinal Durkheim. Counterattacks against the general's positions all over the city drive his loyalists and Sieger mercenaries to the western rim of the city. The Free People of Freiburg claim the rest of the city and the city at large, including the Watchturm. Gregor Trague, nephew of the late Eisenfurst, is pronounced Eisenfurst of the city.

The arrival of the Fourth Prophet Anya Stoiacovic in Freiburg
Anya's arrival is preceded by an open pronouncement of her authenticity as a prophet by the recently-freed Cardinal Durkheim. The fledgling prophet's arrival coincides with a call by the Fhedeli (and others) to take down the ghetto walls and let the Fhedeli be open, integrated residents of the city. This sparks increased tensions and mounting violence between the Fhedeli and the traditionalist gangs of the city.

The Convergence Court
Gregor Trague invites the leaders of each district of the city to a court to commemorate an at least temporary end to open hostilities and to plan for the inclusive future of the city. After his inaugural speech, several leaders from outside the city arrive: Gisela Inselhoffer, Regent of Wische; Don Guiseppe Bernoulli Sr, a merchant Prince of Vodacce; and Duchess Aurore Praisse du Rachetisse, matriarch of the Rachetisse family of Montaigne. These dignitaries highlight an eventful court with heated debate amongst locals and travelers, alike. Anya Stoiacovic arrives to represent the people of the Fhedeli Ghetto, and there is an altercation between her and General Leberect outside. Cardinal Erika Durkheim is pronounced Heirophant of the Vaticine Church by her fellow cardinals, although this news is kept in private for the time being. Two riders approach through the storm: General Montague of Montaigne and Eisenfurst Fauner Posen of Eisen itself.

Cardinal Erika Durkheim named Heirophant of the Vaticine Church
The public learns of Cardinal Durkheim's ascendancy to Heirophant in the day after the court at the Wachturm. In response to this news, there is much activity in Inquisition, Rose and Cross, University, and Fhideli circles. Rumors and conspiracy theories begin to fly about the church's presence in the city and the reasons for this seemingly sudden decision, but the Cardinal continues to enjoy a great deal of popular support. She exchanges blessings and endorsements with the leader of the Fourth Prophet cult, the supposed Fourth Prophet Anya Stoiacovic.

The Demise of General Oskar Leberecht
Gregor Trague, accompanied by Eisenfurst Fauner Posen and several others, are seen entering General Leberecht's place of operations on the morning after court. The specifics of the dispute at the time are  impossible to determine, but the General is killed in an unexpected altercation and Posen and her fellows are seen leaving shortly after. In the aftermath of the attack, Posen seems to go underground and rumors begin to spread from Sieger mercenaries that the Genral was executed by Posen herself, with the help of the others. The reason for his execution is unclear, but rumors indicate everything from failure of mission to insubordination.

Arciniega's Triumph
A serious dispute over the Oath of Medicine and the treatment of a mortally wounded woman at court the previous night has led Alvaro Arciniega to demand a duel to the death against one of General Leberecht's key lieutenants. The duel is set for noon on the Drachen bridge. Arciniega's opponent, Colonel Allen Viktor Braun III, is told of his General's death shortly before the duel and attempts to politely but ungracefully bow out of the duel. Arciniega declines his concession and the duel proceeds as planned. The duel last several minutes with both combatants displaying artful, precise mastery of their respective schools. The more fortunate and youthful Arciniega eventually prevails and puts the Colonel to the sword with no great relish or showmanship. In the aftermath of the duel, an enthusiastic crowd demands a speech by Arciniega and he gives a rousing one about putting Freiburg's demons to rest and moving on into a free and hopeful future. Applause and congratulations ring throughout the docks and Drachen Wing Inn areas as the Dean of the University returns to his manor.

Arciniega's Stand
In a sudden reversal, Eisenfurst Gregor Trague turns on Alvaro Arciniega and rallies a small band of his own supporters to march on Arciniega Manor. A few rising nobles, the Rose and Cross, the Watch Dog gang, and several others are all involved in the march.
